Woodford Reserve Distillery Series is an eclectic line of one-of-a-kind expressions, pushing the creative boundaries of whiskeys to the extreme. Each selection is masterminded by Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall.
This Distillery Series release features wheat whiskey from one distilling season, which is then aged in a bonded warehouse and bottled at 100 proof.
Distillery Series Wheat Whiskey Bottled in Bond
Nose: Toasted whole wheat bread smothered in apple butter.
Taste: Delicate apple butter and dried berry compote fruitiness atop a wheat cracker.
Finish: Long with dried berry fruit.
Wheat Whiskey
Nose: Aromatic spiced (cinnamon and cedar) and cooked fruit (apple, pear, banana) mingle with a delicate floral character sweetened with light vanilla bean and brown sugar notes.
Taste: Spicy applesauce and toasted coconut notes enliven an earthy mint and cocoa nib mix.
Finish: Dry, subtle cocoa nibs and lingering apple peel.
